Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error?

I've got an Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error, if that means anything to anyone... I try to open Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and this error message pops up. Is there a general patch for Windows XP that fixs it so i can play this game again?

I am serious as a heart attack - your fetzer chip is wavering. tune it down, k?
Reply:sometimes with windows xp and service pack two it causes games to not run right I had that problem with a game and had to litterly reformat the whole hard drive fresh install XP and service pack 2 along with everything else. My advice to you is go to the website of the company that makes the game and see if this similar problem has happened and what they suggest to fix it. Good luck those aren't fun errors to fix. As for a patch from Microsoft there isn't one that I know of.
Reply:This sounds like something got updated and something else didn't. Have you checked for fixes to RollerCoaster Tycoon?

Reply:i don't know ask a PC technician
Reply:I had this problem when running iTunes last week and when we shut down the computer and restarted, everything worked fine. Prior to doing this, I searched using Yahoo and there were a few websites that dealt with this problem. You might want to check them out.
Reply:I got the exact same error with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, I looked on line, but I couldn't find any patches for this specific error. Then, all of a sudden, a thing popped up asking me to re-install Auto RTPatch Client Manager, I did, then when I tried to open Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, it worked! I turned off my computer that night, and today when I tried to do it again, the same Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error came up... It's really annoying. By the way, I have Vista, so it may not be the same for you.
